The original Turtle Club was formed in England by Cpt. Hugh McGowan U.S. Army Air Corps during WW2 as a fun way to blow off steam between bombing and fighter pilot missions.
We would like to honor his memory by continuing the traditions within the Veteran community.
As a newly formed pond, our members are primarily (but not exclusively) members of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.
We meet bi-annually at either the Louisiana State Rally or the Region 5 Rally.
This pond is a work in progress and will evolve into a more developed and social gathering place as new turtles are hatched, Officer roles filled, and interest in more meetings are generated.
Our goal is to relax, have fun, and heal each other through our common bond that laughter IS the best medicine.
