July 4th 1976 my father invited me to the Elks club and after a beverage one of his buddies asked if I wanted to be a Turtle. I initially said not no but hell no. After another beverage I soften up to the idea and said ok how does one become a Turtle. I was then presented with the initiation riddles, got them right, and became a dedicated Turtle from then on.
