Bloop! Bloop!

Fellow Turtles!

I dusted off an old website, which sparked an idea – creating a cookbook! Yes, the world needs another cookbook… but this one has a story. 😊

It all began with my dad’s salsa. Growing up, we had regular taco nights featuring his special salsa, which I’d eagerly devour while learning his technique. Over time, I put my own spin on it and passed the tradition to my son, who now makes it his way. The family recipe evolved through three generations!

Naturally, I created a website and small recipe book to share this culinary treasure. First came Cheapsalsa.com with the practical pitch of “20 ounces of salsa for just $1.20!” Later, realizing “cheap” might not be the best marketing angle, FastFreshSalsa.com was born. Both sites eventually took a back seat as TurtleClub.us captured all my spare attention.

Last week, I felt inspired to revive the website and share the recipe again. It’s my signature dish for parties and frequently requested by friends. However, when I looked at the original recipe book, I was horrified by its appearance!

Now I’m at a crossroads – should I simply create a PDF to share, or print a proper book like our Turtle Handbook? If I go the book route, paperback or hardcover? Hardcover makes more sense for kitchen use (stays open on the counter!), but the minimum page count is 76 pages!

And this is where YOU come in! I’d love to include Turtle Club member recipes in this cookbook. Do you have a signature dish, family recipe, or crowd-pleaser you’re willing to share? Whether it’s an appetizer, main course, dessert, or specialty drink – I want to feature YOUR culinary creations alongside my salsa recipe.

Please fill out the form below to submit your recipe. Together, we can create something special that represents our Turtle Club community!
